Olivia came to visit for an afternoon - which was really fun! Glad it was before the smog rolled in.
We had a low key father's day at the airport - we snuck into Imperial Treasure for a superquick dim sum meal (who knew you had to pre-book for Father's Day there?) and played in an interactive rainforest thingy and rode the train from Terminal 3 to 2 to 3 again. We also walked through a Laos exhibit there. And in the evening we had a fun barbeque at the Stampers (who are also leaving Singapore). A great day!
Uncle Neil has spent the last week with us which has been superfun too. Charlotte is too cute - she calls him Uncle "That Guy" - she is funny.
Sophia got her jabs last week - she does not like the needles but was fine in a minute. I lost her Chicago Cubs hat on the way to the doctor- o well, at least I got a couple of photos of her wearing it before it disappeared.
I had a parent teacher conference with Charlotte's teachers yesterday - she is some sort of superstar with great academic (read: arts and crafts), social, and Chinese potential. Matt of course wants to know where she can improve (he is so Western - my default reaction is 'great, she is doing ok' - I don't need any constructive feedback) and they say that she could use some leadership training and learn the front/back/up/down directions better (last year it was she needed to learn how to pedal a bike). I am just happy that she participates in class discussions - I think it took me forever to get over my overarching shyness to talk in class...
Sorry for the short post - I need to continue packing...
