Anyway - here is a video recapping our time in Venice. More later for Sicily:
And the girls? At the moment Sophia is a bit sick - but hopefully on the mend soon. She had a fever going into Capoeira today. The girls' friends are joining Capoeira too - Jenny, Jason, Big Sophia, Emi. So it is a big toddler party.
I forgot to mention that we went to Cinderella last week - it was the girls' first movie. Despite the mixed reviews I really loved the new Kenneth Branaugh version. And they were mesmerized.
Sophia is very much into the color blue, the number 5, and finding all the No Smoking signs around Macau.
Matt flippantly mentioned The Easter Bunny has scary teeth to Charlotte, and she was crying, scared of the Easter Bunny all evening, scared it will eat her in her sleep. He had to fix it - which I think was a phone call coordinating the logistics for the Easter Bunny to drop the candy off at the reception desk downstairs. Silly Matt!
We took Kathy to the Singing Bean for "Pizza Party" for a late birthday dinner (late as in we were in Italy for her birthday) and the girls and I took her to Sky21 for a truly High tea yesterday.
Charlotte had a picnic yesterday in the park at Hac Sa - and Kathy and I surprised her there. There was lots of fruit - and Char was having none of it. She tells us that at age 5 she will begin eating fruit. She did tell us we can put fruit on her cookie cake for her birthday at school - I could not believe it. Char never eats fruit!
I need to make a special mention to these Cinderella slippers - the girls got these slippers from Grandma Shirley and we hated them from the start. If they accidentally step on you with them it hurts a lot more than it should and they are made from clear plastic - so there is no breathing and feet get sweaty and it is gross (we call them the ecosystems). Well Matt intentionally left them in Madison and Charlotte kept asking about them (over and over and over again - talk about a long memory!). Finally they were sent back to us (thanks Bob!) over Christmas and the girls still love those ecosystem shoes!
