I had a dinner with a few friends. And Jen and Joy came from HK and we celebrated our milestone birthdays together and ate a lot and had a near food coma from all of the fabulous eating.
Forty and fabulous eating. Yay.
The greatest thing is seeing your kids excited to give you presents.
Sophia says to me, "You will never guess what your present is. (one second pause) It is nail polish!"
Charlotte (in her crackling voice - is she on the verge of hitting adolescence?) - "And lipstick!"
Charlotte 'tried' the nail polish before wrapping it and the lipstick was lip balm - but their enthusiasm was so priceless.
We had a visitor this week - Mr. Shark. He is a bear visiting from Oh! Canada! He is going around Charlotte's JK class. Some pics are below.
Charlotte - after 1 month on the balance bike - rode the pedal bike on her own. Without training wheels! I am so proud.
We got a new kitchen thanks to Auntie Lauren - the girls LOVE it and play restaurant all the time!
