Speaking of which - Grandma Kathy is here! She came on Oct 1 and it has been great to have her around. She was lucky to catch the very last fireworks show - one of the few benefits of our apartment is a stellar fireworks view. Charlotte was so excited to see Grandma Kathy that she... passed out on the sofa before her arrival at 9:30 at night. I was excited that she was able to swiftly navigate the ferry to Macau. Quite the seasoned traveler these days....
Matt celebrated his birthday on Friday. This was probably the first birthday where the kids fully embraced the idea of birthday and the celebratory nature of it. All day they called Matt the birthday boy - they were so excited to give him his present (even before I was there - lol).
This year we got him a toy Lamborghini. Matt says that I never get him what he really wants... which is a Maserati. Unfortunately Maseratis are difficult to find in Macau, so I settled on an orange remote control Lamborghini.
I took Matt the Robuchon for lunch on Thursday...lucky for us Thursday was a holiday so Matt could spend the day with us and the kids were out of school all week so Kathy got a couple more bonus day of kiddie time.

Making an angel food cake for Daddy. Who knew how fussy they were to make!
We had a late birthday dinner with a bit of a grill fiasco. This was the best I could do for a photo:
